Growing up, I was always looking down at my feet wherever I went. Picking up a camera gave me the chance to start looking up at the world around me.  It helped to learn to look ahead and not be so afraid of tripping. As soon as I did, I wanted to capture it all. The grand scenes and the little things.

I love freezing the moments, as cheesy as that sounds. I've always been an observer, so noticing the little things - those quiet moments, the quiet laugh, the beginning of a teary eye. I adore capturing those details that turn moments into memories.

Lauren Huston is a photographer and artist, residing in Strathroy, Ontario. Inspired by the light and colours of the natural world, she loves capturing the candid moments in nature. As a kid, she was fascinated by cameras and needed to know how on earth they could take real life and put it on paper, which encouraged her to grow her knowledge and skill behind the lens.
